Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks returned to practice Friday after missing two straight days with a hamstring injury.

“He looked okay to me,” Bucs head coach Jon Gruden said of Brooks. “You’d have to ask him but he looked pretty good today. I’m optimistic after seeing what I saw today.”

While Brooks returned to action, middle linebacker Shelton Quarles was held out of it and added to Tampa Bay’s injury report with a thigh bruise. Both he and Brooks are listed as probable for Sunday’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers.

Center John Wade (ankle) practiced for the second straight day and is probable for Sunday. Running back Michael Pittman (shoulder) practiced and is listed as questionable. Safety Dexter Jackson (hamstring) is doubtful.
