After successfully making it through this week's set of organized team activities at One Buccaneer Place, it appears as though Bucs second-year guard Arron Sears can be added to the list of Bucs players that are on the mend.

Sears participated in Tampa Bay's first set of organized team activities back in early April, but was out of action up until this week due to surgery he underwent six weeks ago to remedy a knee injury he suffered in the final week of the 2007 season.

"I returned Monday of this week," Sears told on Thursday. "I went through an injury last season and I got it fixed about six weeks ago. I've been building the muscle back up in my leg and the strength back up in my leg so I could be 100 percent."

The 6-foot-3, 319-pound Sears joined Tampa Bay as a second-round selection out of Tennessee in the 2007 NFL Draft. He started all 17 games as a rookie, including the Bucs' playoff game vs. the Giants. Sears played an integral role in helping Tampa Bay's ground attack rank 11th overall in the NFL.

Sears' ability to return to practice this week and make it through all three practices without suffering any type of setback is good news for Bucs head coach Jon Gruden and Co.

Although he's still getting back into the swing of things, Sears suggested he would be able to participate in Tampa Bay's final set of OTAs next week and the team's three-day mandatory mini-camp the following week.

"It's 100 percent healed," Sears said of his knee injury. "I'm just getting used to the speed of the game and the heat again. It's a little hot out here with the humidity and everything, but it's getting better and better every day."
