Tampa Bay rookie wide receiver Maurice Stovall’s mother recently lost her fight against cancer.
According to the South Bend Tribune, Cynthia Collins-Stovall died of ovarian cancer on May 24 in the Graduate Hospital of Philadelphia. Her funeral was held on June 2 in Conshohocken, Pa.
It is not yet known whether Stovall, who entered the league in April as a third-round draft pick out of Notre Dame, missed any of Tampa Bay’s voluntary organized team activities due to his mother’s passing. Tampa Bay, which held two OTAs this week, is not scheduled to hold another OTA workout at One Buc Place until June 13.
