Jacksonville Jaguars free agent offensive tackle Mike Pearson is scheduled to fly to Tampa to visit with the Buccaneers on Monday.

Pearson, 25, has started 33 of the 40 games he’s played in as a Jaguar since entering the league in 2002 out of the University of Florida.

The 6-foot-7, 302-pound Pearson has good size and quickness, and is considered a strong pass protector on the left side of the offensive line.

However, Pearson has only played in eight games (six starts) over the past two seasons due to injuries, including a severe knee ailment he battled through in 2005.

Tampa Bay has expressed interest in several other free agent tackles, including Brad Hopkins (Tennessee) and Tom Ashworth (New England), both of whom have already visited One Buc Place.

The Bucs are also believed to be interested in New York Jets free agent T Jason Fabini, who could visit the team sometime this week.
