North Team Practice Recap
The Buccaneers are going to be keeping a close eye on the defensive and offensive line prospects this week. Yes, they’re going to do their due diligence and watch the other prospects around them, too, but those are the ones we’re sure they’re going to focus on the most.
Speaking of that, there was an interior defensive lineman who was nearly unblockable all day – a player we already praised for winning the day before he stepped on the field.
So, uh, Fort Hayes State DT Nathan Shepherd is an animal. Unblockable for three straight reps. Looked very built at weigh-ins, too.

Shepherd was an animal all day on Tuesday. He was a stud during 1-on-1s and in the 11-on-11 portion of practice. His strength is evident every single play. He overpowered some of the better interior offensive linemen on the North side including Michigan center Mason Cole.
Shepherd had 27.5 tackles for loss during his career at Fort Hays State. He’s raw, but his power stood out today.
Another interesting watch for the #Bucs: OG Will Hernandez (76). Strong as hell. pic.twitter.com/J0wvNAcVRp

On the flip side, Texas-El Paso’s Will Hernandez was a bull as an offensive guard. While walking around and talking to some of the people around the sideline, many spoke highly of Hernandez coming into the day, and he didn’t disappoint. He was an anchor during 1-on-1 drills.
Wow. OG Will Hernandez opens up a big hole on the left side. He's been a bull today. pic.twitter.com/mUVXKYoiMD

Hernandez continued to show his strength in 11-on-11 drills, too. He was an earth-mover, if you will, and opened up a few big holes like the one above in the run game. He has some heavy feet when it comes to pass blocking, but in terms of run blocking, Hernandez is the top player here.
Aside from those two players, pass rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo from Oklahoma also looked good. He actually fared well in run support, too. If you throw him in with Griffin and Hayes from the South side, it’s clear that the 3-4 players are in the early lead during this Senior Bowl in terms of defensive impact.
That’s all for the recap on potential Bucs players from Tuesday’s practice. If you have any guys you’d like to get more updates on through the week as potential Bucs targets, comment below and we’ll try to make it happen on all of our social accounts, as well as the recaps.
