Linebacker
Most impressive: Shaquem Griffin | OLB | UCF
What do you do with a linebacker who has one hand? For this one, you draft him somewhere in Day 3 – I don’t care where.
There was question as to whether or not Griffin would even be invited to the Senior Bowl because there’s a sense that he’s not going to get drafted. Let me tell you: Shaquem Griffin was one of the best football players at the Senior Bowl. They played Griffin at 3-4 OLB, 4-3 LB and even some at safety. He’s a top notch athlete and would translate best to a WILL LB position.
Most disappointing: Dorian O’Daniel | OLB | Clemson
When Dorian O’Daniel weighed in at 6-foot-even, 215 pounds, I was a bit worried, but I thought to myself that speed and coverage could be his game. However, when I watched him in one-on-one reps with running backs and tight ends in coverage, O’Daniel did not show good coverage instincts at all. You can’t be a small linebacker who can’t cover.
