Latest Bucs Headlines

For years the Bucs offered some of the lowest ticket prices in the NFL, and still rank in the bottom half.

But for the third straight season it will cost Bucs fans more to walk through the gates at Raymond James Stadium to see their favorite team play.

According to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times, season pass members were emailed earlier this week and told they had until March 15 to renew or prices would be going up for the same seats.

Raymond James had undergone some major – and expensive – renovations over the last few years helping to land the 2017 NCAA college football championship game and the 2021 Super Bowl. Yet the product on the field doesn’t warrant an increase many fans most likely feel. The Bucs haven’t been to the playoffs since 2007.

Coming off a 5-11 season, and no coaching changes, there doesn’t appear to be much momentum heading into 2018, and an increase in prices could create more apathy among the fan base.

According to Auman the Bucs actual average attendance(51,912) was down in 2017, and ranked 29 of out the league’s 32 teams.

There has been no official statement from the Buccaneers as of yet.
