As everything with Winston’s suspension has been unfolding, we’ve heard from media members, Winston and the league, but we haven’t heard too much from other Buccaneers teammates. In a video interview obtained by TMZ, someone caught up with Bucs WR DeSean Jackson outside of the LAX airport and asked him a few question on Winston’s situation.
“You can’t turn your back on someone when they going through something,” Jackson said via TMZ. “He’s a good dude and a good teammate… He’s been though a lot in his career. He’s alright. He’ll bounce back.”
According to this, Jackson has his quarterback’s back. When asked whether or not he thinks the Buccaneers organization are going to cut ties with Winston, he essentially said that decision was above his pay grade — but he hopes they don’t.
“That’s past my decision. I can’t speak on that,” Jackson said. “I wish they don’t, though. We still got work to do.”
