The Bucs continue to look for replacements in light of season ending injuries to Kwon Alexander and Jack Cichy. This time the Bucs have signed LB Kevin Minter on Tuesday to help fill the depth chart of a thin linebacker’s group.

Minter, who is best known as a member of the Arizona Cardinals from 2013 to 2016, played nine games for the Cincinnati Bengals last season. He was signed by the New York Jets this offseason but was released in late August.

In his NFL career, Minter has played in 57 games, with 44 starts, totaling 251 tackles (22 for loss), 5.0 sacks, four passes defensed and a forced fumble. A native of Suwanee, Georgia, Minter played collegiately at LSU.

This is the second linebacker signing in as many days for the Bucs, bringing back Riley Bullough on Monday. There is a bit of a familiar history here, as Bucs general manager Jason Licht was part of the Cardinals front office that drafted Minter in 2013.

The Bucs also have attempted to bolster depth at cornerback, signing defensive back De’Vante Harris.

Harris (5-11, 190) spent time with Tampa Bay earlier this season. He spent the previous two seasons (2016-17) playing for the New Orleans Saints. The Mesquite, Texas native entered the league as a college free agent with New Orleans in 2016. He has played in 21 career games, with one start, registering 24 tackles, three passes defensed, one fumble recovery and six special teams tackles. Harris played collegiately at Texas A&M.

To make room on the roster, Tampa Bay waived former FSU CB, Javien Elliott.
