Before joining Pewter Report as a special guest on Tuesday’s Episode 100 Part 11 of the Pewter Nation Podcast, Buccaneers linebacker Adarius Taylor got a chance to show off his cooking skills in the kitchen of Lakeland’s Ford’s Garage location. Ford’s Garage is a proud partner of PewterReport.com and gave Taylor the opportunity to make his own limited edition burger to be featured that evening with 10 percent of all sales going to kidsPACK.
kidsPACK, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that the Bucs fourth-year pro supports and works closely with. The kidsPACK program is dedicated to improving the lives of the growing number of disadvantaged children in the Lakeland community primarily through ensuring that they do not go hungry. While most kids can receive subsidized breakfasts and lunches at school, kidsPACK strives to bridge the hunger gap that exists for these children on evenings, weekends and over the summer months.
Taylor’s creation was dubbed the “BIG 53” and features half a pound of black angus beef with pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato and fried jalapeño on a brioche bun. Watch Tampa Bay’s special teams captain get behind the grill and make his burger come to life!
