The Bucs come into this week coming off the heels of a game where they not only won on the road, but where they dominated on both sides of the ball against the Falcons.
With a beatable opponent in the Jacksonville Jaguars coming up and the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, it could give reason to think that the Bucs might take their foot off the gas pedal this week. But Bruce Arians has assured that last week’s win is nothing more than a mere memory now, and the next goal is to win two games in a row.

“For us it’s all about trying to stack two in a row, which we haven’t been able to do all year,” Arians said. “I love the way we went out there today and kind of forgot about last week already and started practicing hard for another great running back and a good, solid defense with a hell of a pass rush, so it’ll be a challenge.”
Tampa Bay won the game in the trenches last Sunday, allowing no sacks while notching six of their own on defense. For the winning to continue, they’ll need a repeat performance from the offensive line as they face the likes of talented pass rushers like Josh Allen, Yannick Ngaouke, and Calais Campbell.
Arians spoke about how well the Bucs did to not allow any sacks against Atlanta, and the importance of keeping that trend on Sunday.
“I think Jameis did a good job of throwing some balls away,” Arians said. “And we did a great job of protection, tight ends included. So yeah, it’s got to carry over this week.”
With a 4-7 record on the season, the Bucs chances of making the playoffs aren’t very good. Despite that, the Bucs still have plenty left to play for on the season as Arians and the coaching staff decide what players they want back for next season, along with developing the young talent they brought in this year.
The fact that the Bucs are not mathematically eliminated from has helped with keeping everyone focused on the present, while also preparing for what’s to come in the future.
“It’s huge,” Arians said. “We’re trying to take them one at a time and see if that adds up to being enough.”
