With his second interception thrown during the Bucs’ Week 17 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, a pick-six on his first play of overtime to lose the contest, quarterback Jameis Winston has become the first quarterback in NFL history to reach both 30 interceptions and 30 touchdowns in a single season.
The dubious record comes shortly after Winston became just the eighth quarterback in NFL history to reach 5,000 yards in a season, with the Bucs’ entering the day looking to finish their season .500 or better for the first time since going 9-7 and narrowly missing the playoffs in 2016.
