And now Monte Kiffin.

The Buccaneers announced on Friday evening that Kiffin would become the 14th member of Tampa Bay’s Ring of Honor.

Monte Kiffin has been selected as the 14th member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor!

The Glazer Family surprised Coach Kiffin with the news tonight at his 80th birthday party at Raymond James Stadium.

Kiffin joined Tony Dungy’s staff in 1996 as the team’s defensive coordinator and installed one the NFL’s most successful defensive schemes with what became known as the “Tampa Two.” Working with great players like Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, John Lynch and Ronde Barber, among others, Kiffin’s Bucs defense was a perennial Top 10 defense that helped propel the Bucs to their one and only Super Bowl title in 2002.

Kiffin left the Buccaneers in 2008 to join his son Lane Kiffin at Tennessee and later USC. Kiffin was also a member of the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff for two seasons and is now back with his son Lane at Ole Miss.

“Monte Kiffin’s contributions to building and sustaining one of the most dominant defenses in NFL history were crucial to our franchise’s most successful era. Monte worked closely with Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden using his signature defense that became the team’s identity and was a key part of winning the Super Bowl. He was an outstanding coach, teacher and leader who consistently got the best out of his players and we eagerly anticipate welcoming him into our Ring of Honor this upcoming season.”
