In 2018 Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson battled it out one-on-one in an event known simply as “The Match: Tiger vs. Phil,” where Mickelson would eventually claim victory on the event’s fourth playoff hole.

In 2020 the famed duo will square off again, this time joined by future Hall of Famers Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, with $10 million in donations to COVID-19 relief efforts and several other charitable side bets up for grabs. The re-match has been titled “The Match: Champions of Charity.”

It was announced on Wednesday that the teams of Manning and Woods against Brady and Mickelson will tee off at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 at Medalist Golf Course in Hobe Sound, Florida, just north of West Palm Beach, and the match will be aired on TNT and TBS.

On the football field, Manning and Brady faced each other 17 total times over the course of their long careers, with Brady taking 11 head-to-head wins compared to Manning’s six. Manning won the final match-up between the two quarterbacks however, defeating Brady and the New England Patriots in the 2016 AFC Championship Game by a score of 20-18 en route to the Broncos’ third Super Bowl in franchise history.
