Like many teams across the league, the Bucs have had to roll out and play multiple games this season where a handful of their star players have either played through injuries or were forced to miss contests due to said injuries.

Tampa Bay has already seen Mike Evans and Scotty Miller play through lower body injuries while key starters in Ali Marpet, Chris Godwin and Jamel Dean have all dealt with injuries that kept them from suiting up at times this year. The Bucs may be dealing with another injury to one of their starters as running back Ronald Jones II may have suffered a fractured pinky against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, per head coach Bruce Arians.

“We’re waiting to see,” Arians said on Monday. “[Jones] may have fractured a pinky so we’ll wait and see. It happened earlier in the game, he went back and played with it. Whether they have to put a pin in it, we have to wait and see and I don’t know what that’ll do. Chris played through it so we’ll see what happens with him.”

The fact that Jones returned to play in the game after suffering the injury is a good sign toward his status moving forward, but should the injury prove to be worse than anticipated or if Jones is forced to undergo a similar surgery to Godwin’s earlier in the season, it may put the third-year back at risk of missing time.

Things will become a little clearer on Wednesday when the Bucs return to practice and subsequently their initial injury report of the week.
