The Buccaneers are adding a quarterback to their practice squad after losing Josh Rosen earlier this week to the 49ers.
The @Buccaneers are signing veteran QB Drew Stanton to their practice squad, per sources.
Stanton knows Bruce Arians’ offense from their time together in Arizona.

Stanton, who has 17 NFL starts, played for the Cardinals when Bruce Arians was the coach and has some familiarity with Tampa Bay’s offense. After the loss of Rosen it left the Buccaneers with Tom Brady, Blaine Gabbert and Ryan Griffin. Adding Stanton is just a precautionary measure in this 2020 year of COVID-19.
Besides Arizona, Stanton has has stops in Cleveland and Detroit, last playing with the Browns in September of 2019.
