After being snubbed for the Pro Bowl yet again, Bucs LB Lavonte David has garnered the more coveted accolade of All-Pro, collecting second team honors for the 2020 season along with teammate Devin White. It’s the second time in David’s career that he’s made second team All-Pro (2016), and the third time he’s made the list overall, as he was first team back in 2013. David finished the 2020 campaign with 117 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups. White was the heavier blitzer of the two, completing the season with 140 tackles, 15 tackles-for-loss, nine sacks, zero interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and four pass breakups.

The Bucs will play without White on Saturday against Washington, as the second-team linebacker can’t come off the COVID list until next week after testing positive right before Week 17. David will once again need to lead the way, as he did last week with eight tackles and a forced fumble.

Among the key snubs for the Bucs were right tackle Tristan Wirfs and left guard Ali Marpet. Offensive line expert Brandon Thorn and offensive line coach and trainer Duke Manyweather both put Wirfs, Marpet and Bucs center Ryan Jensen on their All-Pro teams, but the actual voters chose none of the three. It’s a slight Bucs fans are used to, but it’s unacceptable in 2020, especially with a national focus now on the Bucs. Get voters who actually watch offensive linemen for the All-Pro voting, or don’t hold the voting at all.
