“I would say there are pros and cons in both. Some things you do in a joint practice are very unrealistic for what you get in a game. As far as the fundamental part, it’s great because now you can teach technique but you’re not using your own players. Sometimes you can get into this thing where you’ve seen each other so much that you know each other’s tendencies. When you see somebody else, you have to play your technique honest. I like that as far as the pros – doing the pod, half-line, scoops and doubles and things like that, but sometimes it’s just unrealistic. It can go hand-in-hand.”

Bucs DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches on if anything feels different with all the starters returning:

“No, there is a big difference, especially on the defense. I don’t really get to associate with the offense a lot, they do their own thing as far as meetings. There’s a level of expectation from ourselves. There’s something we want to do this year to be very special. I’m going to keep it under wraps because it’s something we’re still trying to focus on in house. It’s just a sense of urgency. People know what pressure is going to be on us being the Super Bowl contenders and champs. Just coming into the season, we have high expectations. I just really hope that we go out there and do what we set [out] to do.”

Bucs DL Ndamukong Suh on his motivation to keep playing in the NFL and at a high level:

“Well, I’ve got twin boys, so I’ve got to get the other one a ring – they’re sharing one right now. Ultimately, it’s to come and win. I play the game to win, dominate and continue to play at a high level. As long as I can continue to feel like I can do that, and I am really afforded the opportunity, which this is a great situation from Mr. [Jason] Licht, the Glazer Family and obviously Coach [Bruce] Arians. I am excited to be back and [I am] ready to go after an opportunity to earn another ring.”

Bucs DL Ndamukong Suh on OLB Joe Tryon:

“I think Joe is a great kid – very, very smart. He has picked up our defense pretty well so far. Obviously, a lot has been thrown at him being in so many different positions and really just having an ability to be out there and really add another element. I know he had a great hit on a quarterback the other day (vs. the Bengals) and that’s something you praise him for, but at the same time you tell him to be careful. He will learn to push quarterbacks rather than going across the bowel on them. I’ve got a lot of experience with that, so I will share that with him and continue to do that. But he’s a tremendous talent. I am excited for him to be a part of this team, make this team and really get into the season and see how he can perform and play at a high level.”

Bucs RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn on the biggest change for him heading into Year Two:

“I would say attention to detail is a big thing that has stuck out to me. The small details of just taking it from the class to the grass – that’s the biggest thing for me. And then, like always, just take whatever role is given to me. That this year will be special teams, and I am ready for it.”

Bucs RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn on how comfortable he feels in the offense heading into the season:

“With this being my second year, I’m way more comfortable than last year just understanding concepts, what the quarterback wants from us and where I need to be on the field. That’s like going back to the first question – small details stick out. That is something I have picked up on within my first year and now going into Year Two, I’m a lot more comfortable with what I am doing out there, so I am able to just play more than just think.”
