The Green Bay Packers have signed outside linebacker Ladarius Hamilton away from the Bucs practice squad, per Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Tom Silverstein. Hamilton will immediately join Green Bay’s 53-man roster. The Bucs claimed the outside linebacker off waivers from Dallas back in May.

A 2020 undrafted rookie, Hamilton has yet to appear in an NFL game. The North Texas product collected five tackles, two pressures and a sack during the preseason. The Packers will be the third NFL team Hamilton has suited up for in less than a year.

The loss of Hamilton leaves the Bucs without an outside linebacker on the practice squad. Shaq Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Anthony Nelson are all on the active roster. No. 5 outside linebacker Cam Gill is on injured reserve, but should be back soon.

In the meantime, the Bucs could give preseason standout Elijah Ponder a call. Ponder didn’t make the team’s final roster or the practice squad, but played well in preseason action and in camp.

The Bucs practice squad currently sits at 15 players, with one spot open. Tampa Bay is set to host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at 4 pm EST in Week 2.
