During Monday’s press conference, Bucs head coach Bruce Arians revealed wide receiver Scotty Miller has “pretty severe turf toe” following Sunday’s loss to the Rams.
“The other guy that showed up was Scotty Miller with a pretty severe turf toe”, Arians said. “We’re waiting to see on a bunch of guys and we’ll know a heck of a lot more on Wednesday.”
#Bucs HC Bruce Arians says they'll definitely get Kevin Minter back from the COVID list and they're still waiting on AB.
They don't know yet about Jamel Dean's injury, and Scotty Miller came up with a tough case of turf toe.

The third-year wide receiver was edged out by Tyler Johnson in snaps during Sunday’s contest. Miller caught two passes for just 11-yards, his first two receptions of the year. It’s a far cry from last season, when he was the team’s leader in receiving yards at the midpoint of 2020. For whatever reason, Miller has just not been able to get going in 2021.
He received only eight snaps in the Bucs Week 1 contest against the Cowboys, and then 12 snaps in last week’s win over Atlanta. Miller was called out by Arians in camp, with the head coach saying the wide receiver needs to be more than a one-trick pony this season.
“He’s got to make more grimy catches,” Arians said. “We know he can run by people, but you can’t be a one-trick pony in this league.”
Tyler Johnson is making up ground with his versatility, and could eventually phase Miller out of the offense. If Miller misses an extended period of time with an injury, expect Jaelon Darden to see an increase in reps.
