Latest Bucs Headlines

Just when it looked like the Bucs were getting healthy, two new injuries have surfaced. Wide receiver Mike Evans and linebacker Devin White sat out of Wednesday’s walk-through practice. Evans was held out with a back injury. He exited Monday night’s game twice in pain, but returned to the game both times. White played every snap against the Giants, injuring his quad late in the contest.

Both injuries will be consistently monitored throughout the week. Evans returned to the game twice against the Giants, despite a lopsided result. That would seem to suggest his absence from practice is more of a precaution. White’s status is unknown at this point. If he can’t play on Sunday, Kevin Minter would start in his place. Minter started two games earlier this season in place of Lavonte David.

Losing either player against the upstart Colts would be a huge loss. Evans is second on the team in catches and yards, but leads the squad with 10 touchdowns. White had a rough start to the year, but has rebounded the past two weeks. He leads the defense in tackles with 87, while also picking up two sacks.

The Bucs return to action on Sunday in Indianapolis to take on the Colts.
