With the divisional playoffs looming, the Bucs are looking at more wide receiver reinforcements. On Wednesday, the team worked out veteran wide receiver Vyncint Smith. Smith is in his fourth season after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Texans in 2018. The Bucs have already lost wide receivers Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, while Cyril Grayson and Breshad Perriman are both working through injuries.

Smith played one year with the Texans, before spending the past three with the Jets. In his career, Smith has 23 catches for 329 yards and a touchdown. He’s also rushed three times for 52 yards and a score. A speedster out of Limestone college, Smith ran a 4.38 40-yard dash and jumped almost 40 inches at his pro day. He’s long too, standing 6-2, 197 pounds.

The Bucs have been battered at wide receiver most of the year, and the playoffs are no exception. It remains to be seen if Grayson will be back this week after a hamstring injury in Week 18. Meanwhile, Perriman will be expected to play after going the distance on Sunday, but he didn’t practice on Wednesday. If neither can play, the Bucs would be down four of their six most productive wide receivers against the Rams.

Tampa Bay hosts Los Angeles on Sunday at 3pm EST in the divisional playoffs.
