Pewter Report publishes the latest NFL Mock Drafts on Mondays. Find out who some of the top draft websites have the Bucs picking in the first round. Some mock drafts go deeper and have multiple rounds.

CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson (7-Round Mock)

No. 27 – Buccaneers – Georgia LB Nakobe Dean
Simply put, Nakobe Dean is a special player. And while he played on the best defense in the country, don’t get it twisted — he didn’t ride on the coattails of a dominant Georgia defensive line, Dean was a huge reason for their success. There are questions about his size and how that translates to the NFL, but his tape tells a different story.

No. 60 – Buccaneers – UConn DT Travis Jones
No. 91 – Buccaneers – Washington TE Cade Otton
No. 133 – Buccaneers – Arizona State RB Rachaad White
No. 248 – Buccaneers – Alabama OLB Christopher Allen
No. 261 – Buccaneers – Virginia Tech WR Tre Turner

No. 27 – Buccaneers – Michigan S Daxton Hill
With Jordan Whitehead leaving in free agency, the Bucs go ahead and select a replacement who is even more versatile. Hill can play deep, in the box, or in the slot, and allow Todd Bowles to do the things he likes to do up front.

Pro Football Focus’ Sam Monson

No. 27 – Buccaneers – Texas A&M G Kenyon Green
With offensive linemen flying off the board in addition to the Bucs needing to replace Ali Marpet at left guard, they grab Green, who has been all over draft boards as draft day approaches. Green is a massive body who had an elite 93.2 PFF run-blocking grade on zone runs last season. His pass-blocking isn’t as clean as some other players, but Tom Brady has amongst the fastest average time to throw in the league, so that job gets easier in this offense.

Walter Football’s Charlie Campbell (6-Round Mock)

No. 27 – Buccaneers – Boston College G Zion Johnson
The Bucs were put in a position to replace both of their guards. After trading for Shaq Mason, they still need one more guard to finish off the interior of their offensive line. Johnson had a solid senior year. He has since capped it off with an impressive week at the Senior Bowl and an excellent combine workout. While Johnson (6-2, 314) is a little short and has only 33.88-inch arms, he is a good athlete with quickness who is very strong for his size. Johnson has very good technique that makes him a reliable pass protector and a consistent contributor to the rushing attack. Sources say that while Johnson’s tape might be more of a second-rounder, he is a plug-and-play starter who could go late in Round 1 based off his excellent postseason.

Houston Dt Logan Hall

No. 60 – Buccaneers – Houston DT Logan Hall
With Ndamukong Suh and Jason Pierre-Paul not re-signed, the Bucs could use more defensive line rotational talent. Hall broke out for the Cougars in 2021, showing length, strength, quickness and athleticism to set the edge. He recorded 47 tackles and six sacks on the season. The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder has the strength to set the edge in the ground game and has the length to play 3-4 five-technique defensive end. Hall looks like the rare five-technique prospect who is capable of putting pressure on the quarterback. He is a riser who could go in the early rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft.

No. 91 – Buccaneers – Illinois S Kerby Joseph
Tampa Bay grabs some safety depth after losing Jordan Whitehead. Joseph was one of the best safeties in the Big Ten as a senior, recording 57 tackles, five interceptions and two passes defended. In pass coverage, Joseph is excellent in deep zone as a single-high free safety. He has excellent reaction skills and is quick to break on deep routes. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder could stand to get stronger and improve his tackling. He also will need to learn NFL schemes to avoid being beaten on double moves.

No. 133 – Buccaneers – Ohio State OLB Tyreke Smith
Even if Jason Pierre-Paul eventually re-signs, the Bucs could use additional pass-rushing depth.

The Athletic’s Diante Lee

No. 27 – Buccaneers – Georgia S Lewis Cine
Plain and simple: Here stands Tampa Bay’s turbo-charged Jordan Whitehead replacement. Cine can do it all, from dropping into deep zone coverage to rolling down into the box or matching up with tight ends and slots. From Day 1 at Georgia, Kirby Smart relied on Cine to execute some of the most difficult jobs in his game plan, and Cine delivered, capping off his career as the defensive player of the game in the 2022 national championship. For all of Cine’s versatility, don’t lose sight of his best ability: lighting up ball carriers of all sizes as a tackler.
