Among all of the injuries that happened to the Bucs on Saturday, the one that was most lingering at Monday’s practice was outside linebacker Cam Gill.
Gill exited the Bucs’ preseason game against the Dolphins early with a foot injury. It was extra unfortunate because he had been playing such a great game. Even after leaving early, Gill was second on the team with four tackles, including one sack.
On Monday while the Bucs were warming up for practice, Gill was outside but not in pads or helmet. He could be seen with a boot on his right foot and a scooter to go along with it.

Following practice Bowles gave an update on his injury.
“Cam has a Lisfranc, so he’ll be down.” Bowles said. “It could be a little bit, it could be more. I’m not sure yet.”
Whether it’s a short or a long time, it doesn’t look like Gill will be available for joint practices this week against the Titans or the preseason game in Tennessee.
The Bucs still have to figure out who will be their fourth outside linebacker after Shaq Barrett, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Anthony Nelson. At the time, Gill is in competition with Elijah Ponder, Andre Anthony, JoJo Ozougwu and Jordan Young. It looked like he at the top of that group to win it.
Cuts will have to be made by Tuesday as teams trim their roster down from 90 to 85. Given the injury to Gill, it may change who the Bucs decide to keep on the roster for another week.
