The Bucs got a much-needed home win under their collective belt last Sunday, holding on late for a 21-15 win over the Falcons. Now at 3-2, Tampa Bay hits the road with a lead in the NFC South. This week, the team will play its first of two straight road games, squaring off with the 1-4 Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Despite getting back on track last week, the Bucs still have plenty of problems to work out. The offense looked like its old self at times last week, but then it went quiet in the second half. That led the game to get closer than it should’ve been, especially with the defense letting up and giving up 15 unanswered points. Nonetheless, Tampa Bay has a chance to really put it together this Sunday against a struggling and very banged-up Steelers team.
With road games against Pittsburgh and Carolina over the next two weeks before returning home to host Baltimore, the Bucs need to win the “gimme” games. If they can finally play some complementary football, that would make it all the better. But aside from that, there are – as usual – several players looking to rise up the ranks in the NFL and franchise record books. Last week, Will Gholston passed Warren Sapp for 10th-most games played in franchise history.
So, where do things stand heading into Week 6? Let’s get to it.

Tom Brady
Brady needs 14 completions to pass Brad Johnson (1,040) for fifth-most in team history. And after notching his 27th win as the Bucs’ quarterback last week (putting him ahead of Johnson for fourth-most in team history), a win on Sunday would tie him with Jameis Winston (28) for third-most.
With one more fourth-quarter comeback, Brady will tie Peyton Manning (43) for the NFL record.
Leonard Fournette
With one more touchdown run, Fournette will tie Ricky Bell (16) for ninth-most in franchise history. He needs three more to tie former backfield mate Ronald Jones II (18) for eighth-most.
Following his big receiving day against the Falcons last week, Fournette can make some moves this week. He needs four receptions to pass Cadillac Williams (134) for fifth-most by a running back in team history. Plus, with 24 more receiving yards, he passes Earnest Graham (904) for 10th-most by a Bucs running back.

Mike Evans
Evans is 21 points away from passing Michael Husted (502) for second-most in franchise history.
Sunday will be Evans’ 126th career start, leaving him four behind Warren Sapp (130) for 8th-most in Bucs history.
Evans has already made NFL history by starting his career with eight consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. If he wants to make it nine straight, he needs to average 57 yards per game over the team’s final 12 games.
Chris Godwin
Godwin needs one more touchdown of any kind to tie Kevin House (31) for sixth-most total touchdowns in team history. And with two more receiving touchdowns, he’ll pass House (31) for fourth-most in team history.
Cameron Brate
With a touchdown of any kind, Brate ties Jimmie Giles (34) for fourth-most total touchdowns in team history. If his touchdown is of the receiving variety, he’ll tie Giles (34) for second-most receiving scores of any Buc.
Lavonte David
Sunday will be David’s 155th career game, leaving him three behind Mike Alstott (158) for seventh-most in franchise history. It will also be his 155th career start, which means he’ll be 28 away from passing Paul Gruber (183) for third-most.
With one more defensive touchdown, David will tie Mike Washington and David Logan (four) for third-most all-time.
Will Gholston
With his 142nd career game on Sunday, Gholston will be six behind Shelton Quarles (148) for ninth-most in Bucs history.
Shaq Barrett
Barrett needs one more forced fumble to tie Hardy Nickerson (13) for sixth-most in franchise history.
