The 2-1 Bucs and 2-1 Eagles came into the weekend with some extensive injury reports, and that led to some star-studded inactives lists for Sunday’s game at Raymond James Stadium.
Tampa Bay had already announced on Saturday that right tackle Luke Goedeke would miss the game after failing to clear concussion protocol. The third-year pro will now miss his third consecutive game. Goedeke isn’t the only big name on the Bucs’ inactives list for Week 4, though. Here is the full list:

Jalen McMillan’s inactive status isn’t much of a surprise, either, as he was listed as doubtful on Friday’s injury report after picking up a hamstring injury in the final practice of the week. It’s also no surprise that Antoine Winfield Jr. and Calijah Kancey remain inactive this week, as both are still working their way back from multi-week injuries.
The added concern with Goedeke, McMillan, Winfield and Kancey is that if they aren’t good to go on Sunday, it’s hard to imagine they’ll turn right around and be available for the Bucs on a short week. After this Week 4 matchup with the Eagles, the team heads up to Atlanta for a Thursday Night Football game against the Falcons.
Perhaps the one surprise is that Tampa Bay pulled the trigger on holding punter Jake Camarda out as an inactive. Camarda had a poor preseason and has gotten off to a rough start in the regular season, too, which had the team making backup plans for some time. Nolan Cooney came in during training camp, then it was Seth Vernon.
Most recently, Tampa Bay signed former Bears punter Trenton Gill to its practice squad. The team elevated Gill on Saturday and now, with Camarda inactive, he’ll make his Buccaneer debut against the Eagles. If he outperforms what Camarda has done up to this point, it could spell bad news for the 2022 fourth-round pick.
The good news for the Bucs is that nose tackle Vita Vea (knee) is active and ready to return after missing just a game and a half. Running backs Rachaad White (illness) and Bucky Irving (hamstring) are also active and good to go for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia.
Eagles Missing Some Key Players vs. Bucs In Week 4
As banged-up as the Bucs are, the Eagles don’t find themselves much healthier heading into Sunday’s matchup at Raymond James Stadium. They’ll be without wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion), as well as right tackle Lane Johnson (concussion).

The Eagles may have to lean heavily on running back Saquon Barkley on Sunday, as quarterback Jalen Hurts will be without Brown and Smith, as well as Britain Covey, who is on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
The absence of Johnson on the offensive line is another tough break for the visitors. He’ll likely be replaced by Fred Johnson, who briefly spent some time with Tampa Bay in 2022.
Also out for the Eagles is former Bucs linebacker Devin White, who will miss the game due to personal reasons. The Super Bowl LV-winning linebacker hasn’t seen his Philadelphia career get off the ground thus far, and he won’t get a chance for a revenge game against his former team in his former home stadium.
The Bucs and Eagles are two talented teams, but both are dealing with some significant injuries coming into this Wild Card rematch in Week 4. As a result, everything will ultimately come down to which team can better adapt and survive the injuries they’re dealing with at key positions.
