Tampa Bay will be looking to avoid falling two games below .500 with a fourth consecutive loss heading into its week off, while San Francisco comes to town looking for a third win in its last four games. It’s a massive game with significant playoff implications for both sides, and it’s a game Bucs head coach Todd Bowles needs to win in order to alleviate some of the pressure he’s under right now.
Going into the bye week at 5-5 would be much different than heading in at 4-6, especially considering Tampa Bay’s schedule from Weeks 12-18 is much more manageable. A win over a contending team like the 49ers – who are right there in the NFC Wild Card race with the Bucs right now – could springboard Bowles and Co. in a big way heading into the final stretch that sees five of the seven games coming against teams that are currently 2-7 and another game against a sub-.500 squad.

As usual, there are other storylines to follow in big-time Week 10 game, and that’s the reason we’re here right now. As we do every week here on PewterReport.com, it’s now time to take a look at what else is on the line during this week’s game. Of course, we’re talking about some of the records and milestones that some Bucs are moving toward.
Last week, Cade Otton tied Ron Hall for the 9th-most receiving touchdowns by a tight end in Bucs history. He also became the first tight end in franchise history with 6+ receptions in three straight games, and he passed Alex Smith (129) for the 7th-most receptions by a Buccaneer tight end. Otton made some waves on the league level as well, joining Brock Bowers (2024) and Travis Kelce (2023) as the only tight ends since 2022 with 8+ receptions in three consecutive games.
Here’s where everything stands heading into Week 10:
Baker Mayfield
With two passing touchdowns on Sunday, Mayfield would have his seventh consecutive game with multiple passing touchdowns, tying Tom Brady (2021) for the longest such streak in Bucs history.

Two passing scores would also see Mayfield join Brady (2020-2022) as the only quarterbacks in franchise history to throw 25+ touchdowns in consecutive seasons.
One final milestone that Mayfield can hit with two passing touchdowns in this game? He would tie Brady (25 in 2022) and Josh Freeman (25 in 2010) for the 8th-most single-season passing scores in franchise history.
With three passing touchdowns, Mayfield will tie Brad Johnson (26 in 2003) for the 7th-most single-season passing touchdowns in team history. Four would tie him with Josh Freeman (27 in 2012) for 6th-most.
With four total touchdowns, Mayfield can tie himself (2023) and Jameis Winston (2016) for the 4th-most single-season offensive touchdowns in Bucs history.
Rachaad White
White needs one receiving touchdown to tie Warrick Dunn and James Wilder (9) for 2nd-most by a running back in Buccaneer history.
White also needs just one receiving yard to pass Doug Martin (1,091) for 7th-most by a running back in Tampa Bay history.
Cade Otton

Otton is five receptions away from passing Jackie Harris (137) for 6th-most by a tight end in franchise history.
With eight receptions in Sunday’s game, Otton would join Kansas City’s Travis Kelce (7 straight in 2020) as the only tight ends since at least 1970 to record 8+ receptions in four consecutive games.
Otton needs 75 receiving yards against the 49ers to join Kelce (5 straight in 2022) and San Francisco’s George Kittle (4 straight in 2023) as the only tight ends with 75+ yards in four straight games since 2022, the year Otton came into the league.
With 112 receiving yards, Otton will pass Calvin Magee (1,379) for 9th-most by a tight end in team history.
Bucs Defensive Line
After both coming up with two-sack games on Monday night, Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey will look to become the first Buc since Jason Pierre-Paul in 2019 to record back-to-back games with 2.0+ sacks.
Vea and Kancey each also have a chance to become the first Buccaneer defender since Devin White in 2020 to record 3+ quarterback hits in back-to-back games.
If Vea can replicate the performance he had in Kansas City and come up with 10+ tackles and 2.0+ sacks again, he would become the first player to reach those marks in consecutive games since data became available in 1982.
Will Gholston
Gholston is set for his 179th game as a Buc, leaving him five away from passing Paul Gruber (183) for 5th-most in franchise history.
Lavonte David

On Sunday, David will play his 191st game as a Buc. That’ll move him ahead of Dave Moore (190) for 3rd-most in team history. He will trail only Derrick Brooks (224) and Ronde Barber (241).
David needs three more sacks to pass David Logan (39.0) for 6th-most in Bucs history.
David is also six passes defensed away from passing Carlton Davis III (73) for 4th-most in team history.
Antoine Winfield Jr.
With one more sack, Winfield will tie Keith Bostic (17.0) for 14th-most by a defensive back since sacks became an official stat in 1982. Two more sacks would tie him with Adam Archuleta, Bill Bates and Roman Harper (18.0) for 11th-most by a defensive back, and three more would tie him with Charles Woodson (20.0) for 10th-most.
Winfield is three forced fumbles away from passing Hardy Nickerson (13) for 7th-most in Tampa Bay history.
With one more fumble recovery, Winfield will tie Lee Roy Selmon (10) for 4th-most ever by a Buccaneer defender.
Chase McLaughlin
With one more field goal from 50+ yards out, McLaughlin will set a new franchise record with 16 such kicks in his short Tampa Bay career.
