There was a chance it was going to happen and it became true with reports on Wednesday. The Bucs are going to release Jordan Whitehead, which means they’ll need a new starter at strong safety.

But, considering what Todd Bowles said at the NFL Combine before that move was even made, the #Buccaneers have a plan in place that already involved a player on their team. It’s a quick fix and an upgrade that allows the team to search for players at other positions this offseason.
