The game day inactives have officially come out for the Bucs and Jets ahead of their 1:00 PM Sunday game. It's the home opener for Tampa Bay as they will be wearing their 1976 throwback unifroms to honor 50 years of the franchise.

It's a similar cast that are listed as inactive in Week 3. Tight end Devin Culp and running back Josh Williams are out for the third game in a row. Left tackle Tristan Wirfs and wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. are still about a week away before we see them in a Bucs uniform.

Safety Rashad Wisdom is inactive for the second game in a row. Once Christian Izien has been able to return in play, it appears that it's Wisdom's playing time that he has taken over for. The other slight adjustment is that cornerback Kindle Vildor is out after playing last week but being listed as a game day inactive in Week 1.

That means wide receiver Tez Johnson is back to playing after being inactive the previous week. This makes a lot of sense given that Emeka Egbuka was questionable for the game and is expected to be limited on his snap count. Tampa Bay is well equipped with their depth of Sterling Shepard and Ryan Miller, but Johnson gives them more big play ability with his skillset of being able to make defenders miss when he has the football.

With Godwin Jr.'s return looming, this is a big opportunity for Johnson to showcase that he should be kept in the lineup each week even when Godwin is back in the lineup. Here is the full list of game day inactives for Tampa Bay.

Jets Gameday Inactives:

Most of the big names that are inactive for the Jets were known to be out before Sunday. Quarterback Justin Fields is in concussion protocol so Tyrod Taylor will is in under center. And Jermaine Johnson, New York's best edge rusher, is also out for the game with a high ankle sprain.

Given that the Bucs are without Wirfs and Luke Goedeke, they catch a little bit of break with not having deal with Johnson. Backup Michael Clemons will likely take up his role.

There was some late news with the Jets on Satuday as they downgraded safety Tony Adams out for the game. In his place will be rookie fourth round safety Malachi Moore making his first NFL start. If the Bucs can pass protect, it's likely they look to go after him.
