The hits keep coming for the Bucs on the injury front.
Already down three top receivers in Mike Evans (hamstring), Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula) and Jalen McMillan (neck) coming into Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the 49ers at Raymond James Stadium, the offense lost another big-time playmaker. Shortly after halftime, it was announced that rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka was questionable to return to the game with a hamstring injury.
A short while later, Egbuka was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Bucs Left Without Top Four Receivers After Egbuka’s Injury
The injury to Egbuka left Baker Mayfield and the offense without their top four receivers for the entire second half of a tightly contested game against the NFC West-leading 49ers.
Mayfield pressed on, though, leading the offense on a scoring drive on their first possession without the star rookie, thanks to a 15-yard run on 3rd & 14 by Mayfield and a 45-yard touchdown pass to rookie Tez Johnson.
Coming into Sunday’s game, Egbuka was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year front runner with 25 catches for 445 yards (17.8 avg.) and five touchdowns. At the time of his injury, he had two catches on four targets for 24 yards.
