The Bucs had some very important players return to practice this week in wide receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan. And while it was good to see them come back, they aren’t close enough to play on Sunday against the Saints and have been ruled out. Safety Rashad Wisdom, who is also on injured reserve and in the 21-day practice window, is also out for this game.

It sounds like Evans may have a chance to go the following week when the Bucs play on Thursday night football.

“He did a lot, as far as catching the ball and running routes,” head coach Todd Bowles said. “He looks good but [is] just getting back, so we’ll give him a chance to get acclimated.”

Outside of the receiver news, the big story on the injury front this week has been about left tackle Trsitan Wirfs. The All-Pro left tackle did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday and with an oblique injury. Luckily, he was able to go on Friday and is listed as questionable. Rookie corner Benjamin Morrision, who has missed the last two games and five on the season, is also questionable heading into Sunday.
