After an offseason that saw plenty of change and a couple of promotions within their coaching staff, the Bucs announced nine promotions within their football operations staff Thursday evening.
“I’m pleased to announce these staff promotions for these talented individuals who have played an important role in our team success over the years,” Bucs general manager Jason Licht said in a press release. “I frequently mention how fortunate we are to have such a strong football staff that does so much of the daily behind-the-scenes work, and I look forward to the continued contributions of this group as we prepare for the start of the 2026 season.”
Former Bucs linebacker Shelton Quarles is going on 20 years as a member of the front office staff, and his promotion from senior director to vice president of football operations headlined Thursday’s announcement.

Entering his 13th year with the Bucs, Andy Speyer was promoted from national scout to senior national scout, while Adam Pinkoski — who heads into his third year with Tampa Bay — has been appointed the team’s director of data science and innovation after he was elevated from assistant director of performance science.
Elsewhere, Justin Camp was promoted to manager of video operations, while Levi Lewis and RJ Harvey were promoted to video coordinator roles. Casey Jackson is now the assistant equipment manager, while Peighton Roth was named manager of football administration and scouting operations. Finally, Tyler Thompson rounds out the nine promotions with his new role as the team’s manager of player engagement.

Shelton Quarles’ Three-Decade Run With Bucs Reaches New Heights
Very few, if any, can say they’ve been a Buccaneer as long as Shelton Quarles has. From 1997-2006, he starred at linebacker and remains one of the best to ever play the position for the Bucs, joining a group that includes Derrick Brooks, Hardy Nickerson and Lavonte David. In Pewter Report’s countdown of the Top 50 Bucs of all time last summer, Quarles came in at No. 28.
He spent all 10 years of his NFL career with Tampa Bay, racking up around 985 tackles, 13 sacks, four interceptions, 28 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles, and eight recoveries. He played 148 games for the Bucs, with 113 starts. His 148 games are the 11th-most by any player in franchise history.
Quarles was a Pro Bowl selection in 2002, playing and starting all 16 games and totaling 113 tackles (74 solo), a sack, three tackles for loss and two interceptions, including a pick-six.

He was a key member of the Bucs’ Super Bowl XXXVII team as a player in 2002 at 31 years old, and he would eventually set new career highs in tackles (134), solo tackles (104) and forced fumbles (four) at 35 years old during the 2005 season. And at age 36 in 2006, he played his final season and tallied a career-high seven tackles for loss in only 12 games.
After his playing career, Quarles joined Tampa Bay’s front office in 2007. He has served in a variety of roles over the last two decades and was on staff for the Bucs’ Super Bowl LV run in 2020, giving him a second ring in what has become a three-decade run with the organization.
In his new role as the Bucs’ vice president of football operations, Quarles will continue to work directly with the head coach and general manager in organizing day-to-day operations for the team. He will also assist with the reporting of daily player roster transactions to the NFL office and oversee player travel and transportation.
Considering his 30 years of service to the team, the fact that he was part of both Super Bowls in Tampa Bay and his career numbers, is it time for Shelton Quarles to garner more Bucs Ring of Honor buzz? There are others who still deserve their own inductions and will likely go in ahead of him, but perhaps there will eventually come a day when he is honored by the team both for his contributions on the field as well as his service in the front office.
