PewterReportTV has launched a regular video series called Bucs Cap Convo featuring Pewter Report’s salary cap expert Josh Queipo. These episodes – typically eight to 12 minutes in length – on Pewter Report’s YouTube channel PewterReportTV offer up Queipo’s insight and expert analysis on Buccaneers salary cap-related topics, such as contract extensions, salary cap cuts, player valuations, salary cap space and anything related to what general manager Jason Licht and assistant general manager Mike Greenberg are dealing with.
On this episode of Bucs Cap Convo Scott Reynolds and Josh Queipo discuss what players the Bucs may be inclined to move before the Week 9 trade deadline if the team is clearly out of the playoff race. Kenny Gainwell, Cody Mauch and Chris Godwin Jr. may not be a part of the team’s long-term plans, so general manager Jason Licht could look to turn each player into draft capital that does figure into Tampa Bay’s 2027 plans and beyond. Based on their talent, production, salary and years of team control, Queipo discusses what kind of return the Bucs may receive if they decide to move each player.
