Adam Slivon offers his Top 10 Takeaways after the Bucs beat the Panthers 43-13 on Sunday afternoon. Tampa Bay had its most convincing win, a game where Slivon reacts to how they kicked ass and took names for four quarters. The team played energized and inspired football, and the running game played a key part. Running backs Bucky Irving, Kenny Gainwell, and Sean Tucker each contributed with a combined 49 carries for 258 yards and three touchdowns. The offensive line set the tone, and quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t have to do too much.

Defensively, the unit kept Carolina’s quarterback Bryce Young uncomfortable. Young was sacked five times, including three times by outside linebacker Yaya Diaby. The unit forced three of the team’s four turnovers, and one of the best moments you’ll see all season came when outside linebacker Al Quadin-Muhammad’s sack-fumble led to defensive tackle Calijah Kancey’s scoop-and-score and somersault celebration. Zyon McCollum and Tykee Smith were a playmaking duo, not just with interceptions, but teaming up on special teams. Ko Kieft also came through with recovering a muffed punt.
At 2-5, Slivon shares how the NFC South remains open for the taking. Tampa Bay just has to keep playing as they did against the Falcons in Week 8 and going forward. What were your biggest takeaways? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
