The Bucs will soon be wheels-up to Chicago for the final matchup before their bye week. With Caleb Williams and the Bears consistently putting up points, the passing game will need to get going, and luckily for Tampa Bay, they may have a key receiving piece back in the game.
Emeka Egbuka, who has been suffering from a foot injury, fully participated in practice both Thursday and Friday. After being out for both Week 7 and 8, Egbuka is questionable for Sunday’s matchup in Chicago. The sophomore wide receiver seems to have a knack for getting open and his participation in this game may very well make or break the final outcome.

The only player ruled out for Week 9 is outside linebacker Yaya Diaby with a knee injury. Rushing the quarterback will be key this week in order to prevent Caleb Williams from making the deep passes he’s known for. With the amount of production outside linebacker, David Walker has been seeing, it is likely he’ll get a good amount of Diaby’s snaps. We also may see Rueben Bain Jr. get more opportunities, as the rookie has struggled to make an impact this season.
Left tackle Tristan Wirfs is full-go for Sunday. This is great news for Tampa’s offensive line that seems to have finally put all the pieces together. The O-line has cut back on holding penalties and was a major reason why the team was so successful in the run game during last week’s matchup against the Falcons.

The Bucs currently sit second in the NFC South, and a win in Chicago could boost them further. What started as a season of despair has quickly flipped, and playoff chances are truly alive and well going into this primetime game. Can Tampa Bay keep the hot streak going?
