Pewter Report debuted a new season-long weekend feature this month called Fifth Down, that will showcase some of the Bucs’ new players each week as the season goes along. This week’s featured player is running back Peyton Barber.

The Georgia native played his college football at Auburn but left following his redshirt sophomore season to help provide financially for his family. After going undrafted, Barber signed with the Bucs but was released during the team’s final preseason cut downs, then signed to the practice squad. Barber was promoted to the active roster on September 8, and depending on the health of Charles Sims, Barber could get some carries on Monday night against the Carolina Panthers.

Q1. If you are sentenced to death row, and the warden asks you what your final meal is, what are you eating?

A. I am taking Japanese Hibachi with a little shrimp and steak. Then with scallops as well. Oh and add in some oxtails and ribs. Hey if it’s my last meal it doesn’t matter if it is healthy.

Q2. You are sitting around on a weekend with nothing to do and none of your friends will find out, what is your guilty pleasure television show?

A. Catfish. Hard to believe that show, but it is interesting. Kind of sad in some episodes.

Q3. If you weren’t playing professional football, what profession would you be doing?

A. I would be an entrepreneur. I kind of want my hands involved in a little bit of everything. The person I kind of want to model myself after is Rob Dyrdek. 

Q4. If you could date anyone, who would be your biggest celebrity dream date?

A. I am going to go with my girlfriend! She is a celebrity in my eyes.But if I HAVE to pick one, Selena Gomez. But I would still say my girlfriend Kimberly first.

Q5. You are driving cross country and you can only listen to one artist, who is it going to be?

A. I am going with Calvin Harris. He makes some good music.
