Tampa Bay made the trip up to Atlanta on Sunday to play a Falcons team that was coming off of two big wins over New Orleans and Carolina, but the Bucs were able to lock down Matt Ryan and bounce back from a divisional loss last week and escape with the 35-22 victory.

Despite two early interceptions, quarterback Jameis Winston finished the game with 18 completions on 28 attempts for 313 yards and three touchdowns while the Tampa Bay defense racked up 16 passes defended.

Bruce Arians spoke to the media following the Bucs’ win on Sunday, read the full transcript below.

(Opening Statement)
“I like the way our defense played, especially our sudden-change defense. Again, giving them turnovers but I just love the way everybody, as a team, we played. Rick, you jinxed the (expletive) kicker, excuse me, but he came back and hit a pretty good field goal so that was big for him. Other than that, it’s a solid football team in Atlanta and we’ll take the win.”

(On Chris Godwin)
“He did a great job down the middle. They’re going to play all of that cover two, Jameis threw some balls and he went and got them.”

(On the pressure Atlanta’s defense brought at Winston)
“They didn’t blitz that much. The past two weeks they played a whole lot more zone and a lot less blitzing until the fourth quarter. That was the big change in their defense, they started playing a lot of [cover] three, a lot of [cover] two, all eyes on the quarterback and we were ready for it.”

(On the key to the Bucs’ long drives on Sunday)
“Balance. You’ve got to have a chunk in there but staying balanced. I thought we ran the ball, most of the day, pretty doggone good. I thought [Ronald Jones] and especially Peyton [Barber] there at the end was running it hard. That gives us a chance for play action.”

(On Mike Evans)
“Mike’s a pro. It’s not like him to drop a screen pass, that’s for sure. He ran the route, we threw a pick, good job by the corner.”

(On Vita Vea catching a touchdown)
“Vita… We put that play in there on Friday, late. Just looking at their goal line situation I thought he would pop out of there pretty clean and it was the perfect time, Byron [Leftwich] called it at the perfect time.”

(On Vea having a sack and touchdown reception)
“Yeah, there was a lot of weird (expletive) in this game.”

(On the Bucs’ secondary)
“I thought they played really good. We’re doubling outside, especially Julio [Jones] and Sean [Murphy-Bunting] had the one-on-one matchup and he hung in there, did a good job. Those are our best three cover guys and Sean got hurt and Mike [Edwards] went in. We dropped five interceptions, right in their hands, that’s the only negative about our defense. Lavonte [David] never drops a pick-six, I mean five of them, or it’s a totally different game.”

(On Murphy-Bunting’s knee)
“He looks fine, he’s walking around pretty good.”

(On Carlton Davis)
“He’s always been really good in press but he’s playing so much better off, with his eyes, and breaking, I mean he had a pick-six. [Jamel] Dean had a pick-six they just went right through their hands. We’re going to get on the JUGS(machine) with these guys.”

(On the young defense)
“It’s huge. These guys are huge and they’re growing and growing. They’re coming in early and staying late and it’s really starting to show up.”

(On what the Bucs did on Sunday that New Orleans and Carolina struggled to do against Atlanta over the past two weeks)
“I thought at halftime that Byron and [Harold Goodwin] made really, really good adjustments on how we were blocking inside runs and we broke a couple. Throughout the entire game I thought Byron made good adjustments.”

(On if this was the best performance of the year from Tampa Bay’s offensive line)
“One of them, our play action especially. We had a lot of time and I thought Jameis did a good job of running when it was necessary and making first downs.”

(On if this was Leftwich’s best game play-calling)
“I don’t know, it’s going to be tough to top the Rams game and the Seattle game but this was a good one.”

(On Winston bouncing back from interceptions early)
“Jameis and Mike, next play. And [Desmond] Trufant made a great play, he was off and cut in, he just knew the backside pattern and undercut it and made a good play on it.”

(On the two interceptions, if Arians’ glass is half full)
“My glass is full as hell and it’s going to get real full in a minute.”
