For the second time this season, Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Mayfield completed 27-of-32 (84.4%) passes for 359 yards and a career-high five touchdowns, which tied his personal best from the 2020 season in Cleveland, in the Bucs’ 48-14 win over the Panthers on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. Mayfield posted a 153.0 passer rating, and became the first player since 2019 to complete more than 80% of his passes while throwing for 350+ yards and five-or-more touchdowns.

He led a Tampa Bay team that scored the most points and had the largest margin of victory (34) in the NFL in Week 17.

Mayfield has now earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week recognition six times in his career, with three different teams, including three with Tampa Bay (Week 15, 2023 and Week 15, 2024). Mayfield’s three Player of the Week honors are the most by a quarterback in team history and he is 1-of-4 quarterbacks to earn the recognition multiple times this season.
