Ever since Tom Brady appeared on HBO’s “The Shop: Uninterrupted”, NFL fans have wanted to know who the mystery team was that decided not to sign him. Even more so, who was the quarterback that they chose to stick with, whom Brady referred to as an “M-fer”? Among a list of possible players, Ryan Tannehill has been a popular guess.
On The Shop, Brady alluded to being surprised that another team chose to keep their current quarterback over pursuing him as a free agent, which led to an all-time line from the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
“I was thinking, you’re sticking with that motherf*****?” Brady said.
Rumors ran rampant after that, with everyone speculating who it could be. One of the main candidates was Tannehill, who played with Tennessee for one season at the time before signing a four-year extension with the Titans.
Well as luck would have it, the Bucs and Titans are having joint practices together in Tampa this week at the Advent Health Training Center. Brady spoke to the media following Wednesday’s practice, where he was asked straight up if Tannehill was the M-Fer in question.
“Can you say M-Fer out here?” Brady jokingly said. “Was Ryan? No, Ryan wasn’t. Ryan’s a great guy, I like Ryan. I was just talking.”
Here’s the video lol. You judge for yourself if Brady is lying 😂😂😂

Brady avoided the question several times before finally answering. But was he telling the truth? It sure seemed like the Bucs quarterback really tried to avoid answering until he was backed into a corner. A lot of evidence points to the possibility of Tannehill being the guy.
The saga continues. Although we’ll probably never know.
