The one area of the roster the Bucs definitely did not want to sustain an injury was on their offensive line. Unfortunately for them, that is exactly where the first significant injury of the season has occurred. Bucs left tackle Donovan Smith left the game against the Cowboys in the second quarter after sustaining a right forearm injury.
The injury occurred on a play where Smith lost his block against Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons that led to a sack of Tom Brady. Towards the end of the play guard Shaq Mason blocked a Cowboys defender into Smith. This caused Smith to bounce into another Dallas defender before falling to the ground. It appears Smith was injured on the fall.
Smith was looked at by trainers on the field and eventually left the game to go get X-Rays. The Bucs have announced he is questionable to return.
