Just minutes after posting a supposed text exchange between he and Bucs head coach Bruce Arians, wide receiver Antonio Brown posted a text exchange with Tom Brady’s long-time TB12 trainer and business partner, Alex Guerrero. In the texts on Friday, December 24, it appears that Brown and Guerrero were either supposed to work together or had previously worked together but stopped.
Brown asks for half of the $100,000 that Guerrero supposedly charged to be refunded to him. Guerrero politely agrees to refund the money and asks where he wants the balance owed to be refunded to.
Brown even tagged Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and Guerrero on the Instagram post, saying “@tombrady guy @ag_tb12 charging me 100k never doing the work on me ! how u even work wit people like this! This what I was dealing wit”
Here is a transcript of the exchange between Brown and Guerrero.
Brown says, “Hey Ag if we not going to work any more that’s fine Lmk about the 100k I paid you only fair get back half my money lmk how to proceed”
Guerrero replied, “Good morning AB. I appreciate you reaching out to me. I completely understand that you want to go in a different direction. Thank you for the opportunity to work together. You are a wonderful person. I hope for your continued success on and off the field. Please let me know where you want me to send the balance. Big hugs my friend.”
It’s odd that Brown would post this and tag Brady in it, as if Guerrero did something nefarious. If Guerrero didn’t offer to refund Brown the balance owed as the receiver requested then Brown might have a point. But that’s clearly not the case given Guerrero’s reply.
In another odd move, Brown even went so far as to publicly post his own bank account number on Twitter for some reason, and insinuated that Guerrero, who is business partners with Brady in the TB12 company, somehow did something wrong.
