The Bucs’ 50th season unofficially got underway Saturday night with the team’s preseason opener at Raymond James Stadium. While it won’t truly feel like the 50th season is officially here until Week 1 against the Falcons or perhaps even the 50th Season celebration game with the 1976 throwbacks in Week 3 against the Jets, it was still plenty evident Saturday night that there’s going to be a big year-long emphasis on this milestone season in Tampa Bay.

The Bucs have a whole lot in store for fans this season to celebrate 50 years, with the “best moments” bracket among the festivities. This bracket gives fans an opportunity to vote on the most meaningful moment in franchise history, with round four set to begin soon. Of course, there’s also the team’s 50th season patch and the three throwback games planned for 2025, with one in Week 3, another on the road in Week 5 and the annual creamsicle game in Week 15.

Our team at Pewter Report also has plenty of content aimed at celebrating the team’s’ 50th season in 2025. That includes the drafting of our Bucs all-time teams, as well as the unveiling of Pewter Report’s Top 50 Bucs of all time.

Our Throwback Thursday-type series covering 50 memorable games in Bucs history also falls under that category. Over on our PewterReportTV YouTube channel, Pewter Report’s Bailey Adams is journeying through some of the most iconic games, moments and performances in franchise history. This chronological journey began back on July 3, and now we’re on to Part 7 of this 10-part series that leads all the way up to the first Thursday in September.

Last week, we covered games 26-30, which fell between 2006 and 2010. This week’s video starts in 2012 and carries all the way into the early stages of the 2020 Super Bowl LV campaign.
