On Friday, the Bucs announced they have activated wide receiver Justin Watson and cornerback Rashard Robinson from injury lists. Watson was placed on the P.U.P. list back in the summer with a knee injury. He’s missed the entire year, but returns when the team needs him most. Watson had just seven catches for 94 yards last season, but led the Bucs in special teams tackles.
Robinson was one of the team’s top special teamers until a hamstring injury in practice sidelined him weeks ago. The career backup was quickly placed on injured reserve, but now returns as the team approaches full health at cornerback. It’s unclear where Robinson fits into the Bucs current plans in the secondary.
Carlton Davis, Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting are expected to all start on Sunday. Pierre Desir, Ross Cockrell and Richard Sherman should provide quality depth too. Even Dee Delaney has been a strong special teams contributor. Robinson might have a hard time supplanting any of them right now.

The two moves bring the Bucs active roster to 50 players. On Friday, head coach Bruce Arians said running back/returner Kenjon Barner and defensive tackle Benning Potoa’e are being elevated to the roster. Tampa Bay will need to make more moves due to the number of injuries suffered this week.
On Sunday, the Bucs travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers in Week 16.
