The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that linebacker Jack Cichy has been activated from the PUP (physically unable to perform) list and is cleared to practice. Cichy, a former sixth-round pick in 2018, missed the last 10 games of his rookie season after tearing his ACL against Cleveland. Because he was on the PUP list, no corresponding roster move was made.

The Bucs also officially announced that quarterback Vincent Testaverde was signed. He replaces former USF tight end Troy Niklas, who was recently signed. Niklas was hurt in practice and placed on injured reserve.
Testaverde’s signing was necessary because fourth-string quarterback Nick Fitzgerald has missed the first four days of camp practice due to a pulled hamstring. Fitzgerald is on the NFL (non-football injury) list.
