The Bucs are continuing to fill out their 16-player practice squad roster and have added three wide receivers to the group. Greg Auman of The Athletic has reported that the Bucs have signed Travis Jonsen, Jaydon Mickens and Cyril Grayson Jr. to be on the practice squad.
Receiver Cyril Grayson is also back on Bucs’ practice squad. Three cut receivers now back, joining Jonsen and Mickens.

All three players have been on the Bucs’ practice squad before, with Jonsen and Grayson playing on that unit last season. Grayson was also part of the practice squad in 2019, even getting in a couple of games on the 53-man roster after the Bucs had injuries at wide receiver.
Mickens signed there in December of 2019 and was called up to the 53-man roster. He then spent some time on the practice squad last season as well, but did play a major role on the main roster for most of the year. Out of all three, Mickens has had the most playing time on the team as the Bucs’ primary kick returner last season. That includes returning the opening kick in Super Bowl LV.
There was some thought that when Tampa Bay decided to keep just three tight ends that this would mean they hold onto Mickens as the seventh receiver. Though they went in a different direction, Mickens would be the most likely candidate to get called up to the main roster if the Bucs were to add a receiver on game day.
