It didn’t take long in Jason Licht’s press conference on Wednesday from the NFL Scouting Combine for some interesting news to break.

Speaking to a pool of reporters from the podium in Indianapolis Licht said the Bucs want the “heartbeat of the defense” back, but will have to see where the market is. Licht said the Bucs have had talks with Alexander and his agent, dating back to last year, but weren’t able to reach an agreement.
Alexander is recovering from an ACL injury that took place last October against the Browns. Reports have surfaced that Alexander and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus were seeking a contract worth $10 million per season.
