There are some important dates coming up for the Bucs that fans already know about. That would be the NFL Draft taking place from April 24 to the 26th. But on Thursday, Tampa Bay announced a series of dates that will be coming up both before and after said draft, which include when we can expect to see the team practicing once again in the spring.
The Bucs mentioned on their website that the offseason workout program will begin on April 21, meaning players are able to come in and work out at the facility in Tampa. These workouts are voluntary and are limited to strength and conditioning workouts, meetings and rehab work. This is also known as phase one of the offseason program and takes place for two weeks.

Phase two goes on for three weeks and gives a little bit more on-field access. There can be instruction on the field, but no drills or live contact is allowed. There is no offense against defense drills either.
Bucs Practice Dates Revealed
The third phase is where all of the practice happens. While teams still can’t have physical contact, the Bucs and all the NFL teams will be able to run drills and have offense vs. defense drills that can consist of 11-on-11, 9-on-7 or 7-on-7. This is where we’ve seen up-and-coming players get a head start to their season.
Not long after the draft, the newest players who were just selected by Tampa Bay will have rookie mini-camp on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.

The organized team activity practices, better known as OTAs, will go from Tuesday to Friday on May 27 through May 30, then it will pick back up the following week from Monday to Thursday from June 2 through June 5. These once again are all voluntary workouts.
The last set of practices that Tampa Bay will have before breaking for the summer are mandatory, thus why it’s called mandatory mini-camp. All players are required to be in attendance unless previously excused by the team. These practices will take place June 10 through June 12.
Much like it was last season when Liam Coen was offensive coordinator, it’ll be very important for the Bucs to set the groundwork specifically on offense with Josh Grizzard becoming the play caller. Grizzard was with the team for a season, so the players aren’t learning an entirely new system, but it’s the first time that they can set the foundation for
