Per Greg Auman of The Athletic, in addition to the players already released thus far, the Bucs have reportedly informed cornerbacks Herb Miller and Mazzi Wilkins, defensive lineman Benning Potoa’e and linebackers Noah Dawkins and Chapelle Russell that they will be waived on Friday. Joshua Allen of Bucs Report also reported that safety Javon Hagan will be waived as well.

Miller was originally signed to the Bucs’ practice squad in Dec. 2019 and later signed a futures contract with Tampa Bay while Wilkins, a Tampa native, was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019. Wilkins found action in three games while on the Bucs’ active roster last season, totaling three tackles.

Dawkins was signed off of the Bengals practice squad in 2019.

Potoa’e and Hagan were both signed as an undrafted free agents this past May, out of Washington and Ohio respectivelly, while Chapelle Russell was one of Tampa Bay’s two seventh-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Running back Raymond Calais, the Bucs’ other seventh-round pick this year, was reportedly informed earlier in the day that he would be waived.
