With mandatory mini camp in the rearview mirror, the Bucs now have a bit of a break before setting their sights on training camp. On Wednesday, we got one step closer to camp as the team announced its select training camp dates that will be open to various groups of fans.

The Bucs’ first open training camp date is Sunday, July 30 for Krewe Members. Then, on Monday, July 31, practice will be open for military members. That date will be the team’s first fully-padded, full-contact practice.

On Tuesday, Aug. 1, the Bucs will hold a night practice at 7 p.m. inside the team’s indoor facility, and that will be open to Krewe Members as well. The schedule also features a “Women of Red Day” on Sunday, Aug. 13 and a practice open to the general public on Monday, Aug. 14. That date marks the Bucs’ first full-access training camp practice in four years. It will also signal the end of open practices for the summer as the team nears its Week 1 season opener in Minnesota against the Vikings on Sept. 10.

Most practices will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the exception of the night practice on Aug. 1 (7 p.m.) and the Women of Red Day on Aug. 13 (1 p.m.).

Unlike in recent years, the Bucs will not hold any joint practices with preseason opponents in Tampa. Instead, they’ll hold joint sessions with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets up north in advance of the exhibition matchup between the two teams on Aug. 19.

Training camp will look much different for Tampa Bay this summer, as it’s been an offseason of transition for the team. The quarterback battle between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask will take center stage, but there’s also new-look offensive and defensive lines to look forward to.

Of course, the Devin White contract/trade request saga rolls on as well after the young linebacker was in attendance for mandatory mini camp but did not practice.

Mayfield, Matt Feiler, Chase Edmonds, David Moore, Greg Gaines and Ryan Neal are among the new free agent faces to get familiar with this summer. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s 2023 rookie class  — highlighted by Calijah Kancey, Cody Mauch and Yaya Diaby — will also get its first taste of NFL action.
