On Monday, the Bucs returned to practice following the bye week. During the light session, two important players returned to action for the first time in over a month. Wide receiver Scotty Miller and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting were seen warming up with pads and a helmet on at the start of practice. Each player began their 21-day window to come off injured reserve last week. According to Arians, both players are making progress in their quest to play this Sunday against Washington.
“(They) looked really good today,” Arians said. “We’ll see how it goes. We’ll see how sore they get.”

Miller has been out since after Week 3 with turf toe. The diminutive receiver had just two catches for 11 yards on the year before his injury. Meanwhile, Murphy-Bunting dislocated his elbow in the first half of the season opener, He has been sidelined for seven straight games after the grotesque-looking injury. The Bucs should also get back Dee Delaney and Richard Sherman, who have both missed time with injuries.
It’s a big step for the Bucs, who have been ravaged by injuries at both positions, but particularly in the secondary. Tampa Bay has yet to play a game this season with their full starting secondary. Murphy-Bunting and Miller are in the second week of a 21-day window to return to action. That means that if they are going to return this season, it will be against Washington or the Giants in Week 11.
